American Contract Interiors is a multi-line manufacturers’ representative organization. We specialize in three areas of the contract furniture market-Healthcare, Educational, and Commercial. Our Team represents all of the New England area to include Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont.
It all started in 2000 when Allen Carder decided he could better serve our customers by creating a showroom on wheels. For close to 24 years we have been bringing the showroom to our customers because we pride ourselves on first class service.
American Contract Interiors (formerly known as Allen Carder and Associates) was founded by Allen Carder and his wife, Donna in 1992. The hard work and direction of Donna encouraged Allen to go and serve the Contract furniture community. Without that female backbone; we would not be able to accomplish what we do today.Throughout the last 3 decades it has been proven through experience that a team is only as strong as it’s team members. We are continuing to evolve AC Associates llc and keeping the AC but changing it to American Contract Interiors. It is not about one person; but a team of professionals that have a passion and desire to make what we do easy for all our clients. Through our team’s passion and desire we have been known throughout New England for our unparalleled customer service. Our logo uses the Minuteman and embodies what our heritage stands for. We are New Englanders; we are independent, strong and caring people. The Minuteman originated in the County of Worcester, Massachusetts. They were individual colonists; well prepared, self-trained and ready at a minutes notice. Here at American Contract Interiors we embody those same qualities which allows us to bring you the passion we uphold to help make you and your team successful!

Upon graduating from high school, Allen was faced with the decision to pursue a college education with opportunities as a soccer team goal keeper or to join the United States Army. He made the selfless decision to join the military and serve in the United States Army. While in the Army, Allen was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC and was attached to the 82nd Airborne where he
eventually finished his service with the 18th Airborne Corps.
After transitioning from the military, he began racing motocross for Honda in Sanford, NC. Allen would eventually move back to New England and began his promising career in sales. His sales career began by selling time share in Laconia, NH where he rose to the position of sales manager.
His time share career eventually took him to Long Boat Key, Florida where he became the top sales person at the Buccaneer Resort. Because of Allen’s success, he was contacted and
hired by Club Caribbean in Jamaica, West Indies where he lived and worked for 5 years. While in Jamaica, Allen would meet his life-partner and wife, Donna. After making the move back to the New England Area, Allen had several sales positions that included selling cars, fire alarms, and paging systems. In 1992, Allen began his career in the furniture industry by beginning to represent manufacturers in New England where he continues to thrive today through his
ownership and leadership of American Contract Interiors.
